These are the 3- best Sapa mountains you should not miss doing some trekking.
You can do 1 -day of trekking or 2- days overnight on camp at Fansipan Mountain or take a cable car. Fansipang Mountain is the highest mountain in Vietnam’s Southeast Asia and is 3.147m high.
The mountain is a rainforest and has many different plantations throughout the mountain. It has cardamon grown by the Hmong ethnic group, wild animals and Tropical Rainforest Plants. Fanspan Mountain it’s north of Sapa and south of Fansipan Mountain the most beautiful Sapa mountain range. If the weather is clear, you will have a fantastic view of Fansipang Mountain from your hotel. Fansipan Mountain is always cold full years and a lot of winds on the peak of the mountain. If you are planning to visit Fansipan mountain please bring a hat, warm clothes and raincoats.
2: Cow Hill Mountains.
This mountain is 200m high and is the second-highest Sapa Mountain.
You will need a local English-speaking guide to take you on a trek to this mountain. This mountain has a variety of scenery and animals.
It’s a peaceful place no many tourists know about this mountain, if you go trekking to this mountain you will not be able to see any tourists just only you the guide. In springtime, all the grass will be colourful.
The cow hill mountain is 12km away from Sapa town.
If the weather is clear you will have fantastic viewpoints from here. You will see Fansipang Peak, O Quy HO, Loa Cai City, Ban Khoang, Ta Phin and Ma Tra villages.
You and the guide will trek from Sapa to Sa Seng village, and continue trekking up hills to reach Dragon Mountain, from the Dragon mountain if the weather is very clear you will see Fansipan Peak, Sapa town, Y Ly Ho, Lao Chai, Ma Tra and Ta Phin Villages. The Dragon Mountain is one of Sapa 3 mountains which is 1,800 m above sea level. From here if the weather is sunny and if you are lucky enough you will see the clouds from the Muong Hoa Valley only in winter time but it is not cloudy in summer, If the weather is very foggy you will not be able to see anything.
On the top of the dragon mountain, the Hmong ethnic minority group are planning corn crops and some cows or water buffalo living on that mountain.
