Spend two days trekking Fansipan mountain and stay overnight on the mountain at 2,800m.
***Please note, you need to book and pay for the 2 day Fansipan Mountain hike by 4pm the day before your trek so that there is time to buy your Fansipan Mountain Trekking Permit***
The tour starts at 9 AM and finishes the next day between 3 – 5 pm. Our experienced Mount Fansipan guide and driver will pick you up at 9 AM from your hotel, or you can come to our office at Fansipan Terrace Cafe and buy a breakfast before you start the tour.
Day 1: The tour guide and driver pick you up from Sapa and drive you to the start of your trek in the Tram Tom Pass, 15 km away. From the Tram Tom Pass at an altitude of 1,800 m, you hike up through the rainforest to 2,200 m where you stop for a picnic lunch. After the picnic we continue hiking to 2,800m where you will stay overnight stay in the mountain-side camp. Your guide and porter will prepare a large tasty meal for dinner.
Day 2: Wake up in the early morning around 6 – 7 AM and have breakfast, a cup of tea or coffee. After breakfast continue trekking to the peak of Fansipan Mountain at 3,143m above sea level. Here we celebrate your achievement and your Fansipan guide will give you a medal and certificate and take a photo to show that you successfully reached the summit of the highest mountain in Indochina.
Afterwards you have some time to enjoy yourself on the summit, maybe exploring the Buddhist Temples and statues at the peak, and if the weather is very clear enjoying the view of Sapa town and the impressive Hoang Lien Mountain. You then return to 2,800m and have a lunch prepared for you by your guide and porter. After lunch you continue walking down to the Tram Tom Pass where the car will pick up you and return you to your hotel in Sapa.
If you are tired or do not want to trek back down the mountain you can take the cable car back to the cable car station but this is not included in your tour so we will have a car pick up you and the guide from the cable car gas stationr return to sapa.
Please note that in Sapa, the weather is very changeable with 4 seasons in a day sometimes! There can be very heavy rain and it can be hot, wet, muddy, cold, and foggy… Unfortunately, we can not control the weather while you are doing the tour with us so please be understanding!
Trekking Fansipan mountain is challenging so this tour is only suitable for people with good levels of fitness.
You are not allowed to leave our tour guide during your Fansipan Mountain. If you leave our tour guide and the people who look after the national park from the Vietnamese government and see you go alone without our guide you will get fined and if anything happens to you that is not our responsibility it is your fault. We will not be responsibility if you leave our local guide.
What you need to bring for 2 days trekking Fansipan mountain:
Proper trekking shoes, 2 pairs of socks, 1 jumper, 2 T-shirts, 2 sports cargo pants, raincoat, hat, warm jacket, sunscreen and mosquito repellant.
Included in your trek:
A: Private English speaking guide
B: Snacks, 2 lunches, 1 dinner, 1 breakfast and 1 large water bottles per a day.
C: Fansipan Mountain Trekking Permit (we will need your full name, D.O.B. and passport number).
D: Hotel pick-up from Sapa and transportation from Sapa to the Tram Tom Pass and from Tram Tom Pass back to Sapa or car pick-up from the cable car gas station and return to Sapa town.
E: Overnight stay at the camp on Fansipan mountain.
Not included in your trek:
A: Cable car ticket
B: Any extra transportation other than what is included in your chosen tour will be charged for.
C: Travel Insurance
D: Luxury accommodation (there are no showers at the camp).
