About Home-staysÂ
Homestays are run by Ethnic minorities who choose to welcome travellers and have prepared their houses to accommodate guests. These are traditional houses where the family stays in separate rooms with guests, although you will often eat dinner together with the family. There are hot showers, towels, western-style toilets with paper, electricity, mosquito nets and tasty local traditional food. The homestays are clean and safe and here you will experience local ethnic culture.Â
Some Local activities: include 1 lunch in a local house and playing a local game of drinking rice wine.
On your first day of the trek instead of lunch in a local Restaurant, we will take you to (have a lunch) in a Local house and taste the local traditional food. In the local villages, we can not afford to buy beer or wine, so the Hmong ethnic minority make their rice wine or buy from the local store that makes Local rice wine. The local rice wine is like sake. It’s pretty strong like 35%.Â
After you finish the meal we will play a local game with the chicken beak of drinking rice wine. We have a limit on drinking rice wine, for each person is only allowed to drink 1-2-3 small glasses of rice wine. If you don’t want to try to drink rice wine it’s not a problem, you don’t have to drink it if you don’t like it.
After the local drinking game, we will continue to trek to your Homestay.
On your last day, you will (have 3Â lunch in a local restaurant)
See below for your tour options.

Had three amazing treks with Sapa Weather. Met some lovely guides from the local communities, they were so informative and made each tour so special! We had a relaxing night at the Homestay where we luckily did the local cooking course and batik making, they were awesome! Would recommend to anyone who wants an authentic trekking and Homestay experience in Sapa!!

We had a really great tour. The guide discussed the exact route with us and repeatedly showed us various options along the way. There was a lot of information and little jokes on the side. She also spoke very good English 🙂 We can highly recommend her
