***Please note, you need to book and pay for the Fansipan hike 1 day tour by 4pm the day before your trek so that there is time to buy your Fansipan Mountain Trekking Permit***
Our 1 day Mount Fansipan hike starts at 5:30 AM and finishes between 4 – 5 PM in Sapa. Our guide and driver will pick you up at 5:30 AM from your hotel to take you to the start of your trek in the Tram Tom Pass, 15 km away. Please make sure you have breakfast before the tour starts or carry it with you as we do not provide breakfast!
From the Tram Tom Pass, you hike 1000 m up through the rainforest to 2,800 m where you stop for a picnic lunch and rest (with time for breaks and snacks on the way!). After the picnic you keep going to reach the peak of the mountain at 3,147 m. If the weather is clear you will be able to enjoy the view of Sapa town and the impressive Hoan Lien Son Mountain range. To celebrate, your tour guide will give you a medal and certificate and take a photo to show that you successfully reached the summit of the highest mountain in Indochina.
After that there is some time for you to enjoy the peak, maybe even exploring the Buddhist temples and statues at the top, before hiking back down to the Tram Tom Pass where the car will pick you up and drive you to your hotel in Sapa. If you are tired or do not want to trek back down the mountain you can take the cable car and funicular back down to Sapa town but this is not included in your tour so we will have a car pick up you and the guide from the cable car gas station return to sapa.
This tour is only suitable for people with a good level of fitness.
You are not allowed to leave our tour guide during your Fansipan Mountain. If you leave our tour guide and the people who look after the national park from the Vietnamese government and see you go alone without our guide you will get fined and if anything happens to you that is not our responsibility it is your fault. We will not be responsibility if you leave our local guide.
