Market Sapa is about 20 minutes from the Sapa centre and it’s near the bus station. You can either work or take a taxi to market sapa. There is a lake on the way from market sapa. There are 2 different market sapa at the same place, the day market is open from 6:30 am until 5:30 PM. Day Market sapa sell some handicrafts, foods, nuts and local foods. On the first floor, it has nuts, food, clothes, shoes and vegetables, Most of the local people who live in the village will come to visit the town then they will have some lunch at this market sapa. There is no special food for the western to eat the local food. The local people here eat very simple food. Most of the locals will eat Pho because in the villages they eat it every 3 meals rice so that way they will choose pho for the meals in the town. The locals from the villages do not come to sapa time much. They only come to the town for work and shopping.


The night market opens at 6:30 P.m. until midnight. Market sapa night time have BBQ street food, Nuts, horse meat and Icream. Not highly recommend eating this street food, you can try a bite of the food only. This night market more Western and Vietnamese tourists come. The local people like to go to the day market sapa. The differences in that day’s market sapa have more things to see but the night market is also interesting. If you are planning to stay in Sapa for a few days you can go to the markets and look around. Market sapa can be different from your market at home.
